Eindhoven – Only 2 weeks ahead before we kick-off the first Eindhoven Box Cup International Boxing Tournament. We have got a slightly revised schedule which you can see below. Changes have been made in the weigh-in time on competition days (earlier) and the evening break on competition days (between 18-19 o’clock).

Please keep in mind, all boxers need to be present at the registration, weigh-in and medical check on 13 May 2016 and need to be present at the weigh-in and medical on every competition day they are active.

Titles/tournaments won: Israeli champion 2016, Finalist of the International tournament in Cyprus 2014.

What age did you start boxing: 24

Why did you start boxing: All my life I am connected to sports. Until the age of 24 I was a professional soccer player. After playing a year in the Siberian football club in Irkutsk I came back to Israel and decided to try something new. I’ve chosen boxing and from the start I fell in love with this sport.

Tell us about your best fight: My best fight was on the AIBA World Championship in Kazakhstan in 2013. I knocked out one of the best fighters of the tournament – Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Kislitsin (Kislitsin is a former European Champion and APB star, watch Lazarev’s TKO here).

What is your goal in boxing for the next five years: Next year I would be happy to get somewhere (final, semi, quarter:) in the European championship and then to try myself in the professional boxing.

Anything else you want to tell us: It`s a pleasure for me to come to Eindhoven together with my coach. It will be the first time we will travel together to the competitions outside Israel.

As you will see some boxers have no opponent yet, we will be trying to put them in a suitable category or find an oppenent for these boxers in the coming weeks.
