Why did you start boxing: All my life I am connected to sports. Until the age of 24 I was a professional soccer player. After playing a year in the Siberian football club in Irkutsk I came back to Israel and decided to try something new. I’ve chosen boxing and from the start I fell in love with this sport.

Tell us about your best fight: My best fight was on the AIBA World Championship in Kazakhstan in 2013. I knocked out one of the best fighters of the tournament – Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Kislitsin (Kislitsin is a former European Champion and APB star, watch Lazarev’s TKO here).

What is your goal in boxing for the next five years: Next year I would be happy to get somewhere (final, semi, quarter:) in the European championship and then to try myself in the professional boxing.

Anything else you want to tell us: It`s a pleasure for me to come to Eindhoven together with my coach. It will be the first time we will travel together to the competitions outside Israel.
