The last title of the 2019 Eindhoven Box Cup was taken by Belgium’s Victor Schelstraete who impressed in the recent events at the heavyweight (91kg). The Belgian delivered better performance in the finals and his today’s combinations were enough to beat Netherlands’ Donovan Vroom in the title bout.

Ireland’s Sean Purcell used strong punches and smart strategy to beat Belgium’s experienced Vasile Usturoi in the final of the bantamweight (57kg). The Belgian had more international elite contests but the Irish boxer’s tactic worked better in the day of the finals.

Four years ago today we hosted the finals of the first ever Eindhoven Box Cup. The first edition was a great success with with elite boxers from countries as Russia, England, Ireland, Kazakhstan and many more winning medals. This was also the edition when unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury came to watch and support local boxers!
Since the first edition we’ve had many teams returning and grown in one of the major multinational boxing tournaments in Europe.
