Eindhoven – Tomorrow is the last day of final entries. We are counting around 250 boxers in all weight and experience classes who will be coming to the Eindhoven Box Cup. If you haven’t submitted your final entry, please do so.

For all clubs that have submitted their final entry and have received an invoice for payment of the registration fees, please make sure this is paid by tomorrow. If by any cicumstances you didn’t receive the invoice and payment details, you are currently not in the position to pay, or you need any other additional information to complete the payment. Pleas contact us a.s.a.p.

For teams that are traveling by air, and are arriving on Eindhoven Airport we have a dedicated pick-up and drop off service. If you are arriving on a different airport, we can assist you in planning your arrival by public transport and arrange a pick-up from Eindhoven Railway Station.

If you want to use our pick-up service, please contact transport@eindhovenboxcup.com timely with all your traveling details.

All teams and all boxers need to be present Friday 13 May for accreditation and weigh-in.

Moreover, teams that would like to book a hotel we would recommend Hotel Eindhoven, also the venue of the boxing tournament. Booking details below, over 50 rooms have been booked already by Box Cup guests, so don’t wait too long making your reservation. It is not obligated to stay here:

Eindhoven – Now preliminary entries have closed it’s time to count the registrations and look forward to the final entries which are due 26th of March 2016. The last week of preliminary entries has resulted in a peek in registrations that almost doubled the numbers of participants in the Eindhoven Box Cup 2016.

Finally we can draw the line at 250 registered athletes traveling from 17 different nations! The organizing committee is very proud the first edition of the Eindhoven Box Cup will turn out to be a truly international event!

Tell us about your best fight: My best fight was last year in the semi finals of the championships of the north. It was a game on a high level from both sides, I lost this game, but it was a close one against an experienced opponent. What is your goal in boxing for the next five years: I will try to play a lot of game on a high level, so I can get a lot of experience, and then maybe some international experience.

Tell us about your best fight: My best fight was in the 1⁄2 finale at the OZNK 2016, I won against a opponent with a lot more fights and more experience, but I fought smart and used my strong points to win the fight.

What is your goal in boxing for the next five years: My goals for the next five years are fighting at good international tournaments to gain experience and show my skills. And eventually after the right amount of bouts I want to go fight as a professional boxer.

Why did you start boxing: I started because my friends and family started boxing at Olympic BC

Tell us about your best fight: I have had a lot of great fights but two of my best would be in The Haringey Box Cup semi-final June 2015 I KO’d my opponent in Round 1 and last December in the National Senior Elite semi-final I was narrowly beaten on a 2-1 split decision to the current senior champion of Ireland, after that bout I confirmed what I had already known that I’m going to be a Senior Elite champion of Ireland in the near future.

What is your goal in boxing for the next five years: My next aim and ambition is to be at Tokyo 2020

Eindhoven –  The Eindhoven Box Cup Organizing Committee is pleased to update you on the excellent progression of the Eindhoven Box Cup. The Eindhoven Box Cup has been feautured on the main page of the EUBC website, on Germany’s number 1 boxing portal Go4Boxing.com, and has been added to the EUBC and AIBA events calenders! All this confirms the excellent status of the Eindhoven Box Cup internationally.

With still 2 months of registrations to go we have now already received 90+ preliminary entries from 8 different nations and many more enquiries from all over the world. Nice to mention is that 70% of registrations is from outside the Netherlands!

Eindhoven –  The Eindhoven Box Cup Organizing Committee is proud to announce that amongst entries from Scotland, England, Norway, Luxembourg and The Netherlands we have now received the final entry of the Ghana Boxing Federation. By name of President Gideon Quartey the Ghanese delegation of 8 officials, 3 judges/referees, and 9 boxers have been confirmed.

Amongst the participants are 2012 Olympian and 2015 African Championship silver medalist light flyweight Sulemanu Tetteh and 2015 African Championships bronze medalist Akimos Ampiah.
