Pittige loting voor Nederlandse dames
220 boksers uit 24 landen zijn neergestreken in het Van Der Valk hotel in Eindhoven. Vanmiddag vond de accreditatie, weging, keuring en loting plaats. Altijd een spannend moment. Zijn alle boksers op gewicht en wie wordt de eerste tegenstander? Morgen vanaf 14.00 uur gaat het los en zullen er per dag meer dan 50 wedstrijden worden gebokst. De Eindhoven Box Cup wordt georganiseerd door Stichting Noble Art of Boxing in samenwerking met de Nederlandse Boksbond, onder auspiciën van de officiële Europese- en wereldboksbond, EUBC en AIBA. Alicia Holzken en Nouchka Fontijn hebben morgen meteen een uitdagende klus. Alicia lootte Solujanova (RUS) en Nouchka mag morgen beginnen tegen Sandakova (RUS)
Onder de deelnemers bevinden zich vele nationale kampioenen en medaillewinnaars op continentale- en wereldkampioenschappen. Onder andere Aradoaie Andrei (Roemenië, Europees kampioen zwaargewicht), Michael Nevin(Ierland, Europees kampioen middengwicht), Munkh-erdene Uranchimeg (Mongolië, 3-voudig Olympiër) en Evgeny Tischenko(Rusland, Olympisch kampioen zwaargewicht). De nationale selecties van onder andere Oekraïne, Duitsland, Indonesië, Sri Lanka, India, Denemarken, Rusland, Ierland, België, Mongolië, Roemenië en Frankrijk zijn van de partij.
Namens Nederland boksen onder andere Peter Müllenberg, Nouchka Fontijn, Artjom Kasparian en Aito Koster. Ook de leden van TeamNL komen in actie. De talenten uit dit team hebben het vizier nu al gericht op de Olympische Spelen in Tokyo in 2020.
Behalve voor de topboksers is er veel aandacht voor de breedtesport. Boksen zit sterk in de lift en kent steeds meer beoefenaars. De Eindhoven Box Cup is een event waar opkomend talent kan schitteren naast nationale en internationale toppers. Het boks-event in Hotel Van der Valk is dè gelegenheid voor sportliefhebbers in Nederland kennis te maken met ’the noble art of self defence’.
Morgen vanaf 14.00 uur gaat het dan echt beginnen met als eerste wedstrijden:

Eindhoven – The organisation committee has, in consultation with the AIBA supervisor, made some changes in the daily schedule. Main change is that we will not have a weigh in on Friday morning, only Thursday afternoon, Saturday morning and Sunday Morning. Furthermore the morning schedule has been erased, instead the morning the rings will be open for public sparring.

Confirmed entries have been done by the National Boxing Federations of Russia, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Belgium and of course the Netherlands. This complemented with some very strong teams from for example England, France, Germany, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Scotland and Switzerland will make this tournament yet again a great success.
Also we are pleased to announce we have secured entries in all weight classes this year including the lightest and heaviest weight classes for both men and women.

Thank you for your registration for the Eindhoven Box Cup 2017, from 19 to 22 October 2017 in Hotel Van der Valk Eindhoven. We are now 3 months ahead of the Eindhoven Box Cup 2017, with the organizing committee working hard to get everything ready for the second edition of the Eindhoven Box Cup.
*REGISTRATION
Currently over 50 teams, from 16 countries, have registered for the 2017 Eindhoven Box Cup.
For the entry management we would like to request all registered teams to:
- Submit your full delegation of boxers and coaches in our online entry system using your personal login
- Pay the due entree fees
- Upload the personal photos of each delegation member in the entry system

Changes in your entries can be done until 15 September 2017 (entry closing date). After this date the personalised entry passes will go to print.

We would like to request the larger teams to bring at least 1 AIBA licensed referee/judge to the tournament to remain an international, fair, and high standard of officiating during the tournament. For teams that are traveling by air, and are arriving on Eindhoven Airport we have a dedicated pick-up and drop off service. If you are arriving on a different airport, we can assist you in planning your arrival by public transport and arrange a pick-up from Eindhoven Railway Station.

All teams and all boxers need to be present Thursday 19th October for accreditation, medical check and weigh-in.

Eindhoven – The Eindhoven Box Cup organisation committee is pleased to announce registrations for the EBC 2017 are going very well. Already 30 teams from nine countries have entered to participate in the Netherlands’ only international and AIBA supervised boxing tournament.
Current entered teams are from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, England, Ireland, Scotland and Denmark. Besides these entries also the national teams of Russia, Vietnam, China, South Africa, Mongolia and Kazachstan have enquired on participating in our 2017 annual Box Cup!
The Netherlands national team will be participating with an A and B team to be selected after this month’s national championships.

Eindhoven – The Eindhoven Box Cup is pleased to announce the agreement with Hotel Van der Valk has been made to organise this years edition of the prestigious tournament from 19 to 22 October 2017. Subsequently the AIBA has included the Eindhoven Box Cup in their international calendars, that haven’t got any major events in Europe around that period.
The first edition of the Eindhoven Box Cup was hosted last year during the Pentecost Holidays and was a great success. However, because of the European Championships are being held 14-25 June in Kharkiv Ukraine, it is expected many of the national selections and their sparring partners will be in preparation and will not be taking the risk of injuries entering in a tournament. This was also embraced by Dutch National Head Coach Hennie van Bemmel.
The organizing committee and Hotel van der Valk would have extremely regrets if the event needed to be cancelled after the successful first edition. Therefore has, in consultation, an alternative date been searched. This has become October when also the World Championships in Germany have already been left behind us. Hotel Van der Valk has offered an agreement in which the Eindhoven Box Cup can be hosted for three consecutive years in October.
The status of the Eindhoven Box Cup has been upgraded. Their will be an open registration for Elite Male and Female boxers in Open Class. In contrary to last year, Youth and Novice boxers can’t participate. Therefore the Eindhoven Box Cup will be an AIBA recognized tournament.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Brian Mous, has reacted with enthousiasm: “Especially the fact the Eindhoven Box Cup has an agreement for the coming three years is exciting and a step in the right direction. Now we can build to make this event a yearly tradition.”
Chairman of the Dutch Boxing Association, Boris van der Vorst: “The Eindhoven Box Cup embraces everything that is in our ambitions. The Netherlands need to be internationally recognized as a boxing nation and this fantastic initiative is contributing tremendously to it.”
Het bleef prijzen regenen voor de Nederlandse kampioenen tijdens het geslaagde Eindhoven Box Cup-toernooi. Zwaargewicht Roy Korving won in de finale zelfs voortijdig van de Engelsman Mason Holmes en Enrico Lacruz en Max van der Pas behaalden puntenzeges tegen Sulaiman Segawa en Ruben Veciunca.
De Nederlandse ploeg vertrekt binnenkort naar laatste kwalificatie-toernooi voor de Spelen. Deze overwinningen, eerder op de dag werden Peter Mullenberg en Alicia Holsken ook tot winnaar uitgeroepen, geven veel vertrouwen voor de toekomst.
